Having babies

Katie told me tonight that she doesn't want to have kids, she just wants to babysit. When I asked her why (assuming it's the pain factor - she's discussed that quite a bit lately) she told me something I didn't expect.

She said it's because mommies have to work to hard and don't get to rest much. She doesn't want to be like me, having to work and take care of kids all the time without very much sleep.

*Sniff.*

I need to set a better example.

You know you are doing the best you can given all that you're facing right now. But, kids are ridiculously perceptive :) We can do dinner again tomorrow night if you'd like. That was fun last week.

It is rather cute - and so perceptive :-) I've been reading and can see you are swamped - sending hugs - I wish there was something I could do to help ease the burdens.

You poor thing! You must really need a nap, if your child picks up on it. Hugs to you....let me know if you would like to have a playdate. Your kids can play...and you can nap.
